Incentive
Compensation Basics
Your CEO called
and wants to talk to you
about putting in a new
incentive plan. The
closest you've ever come
to participating in the
design of an incentive
plan was reading a topic
article--DON'T PANIC!
The speaker will
introduce you to some of
the core concepts, terms,
and design features that
you need to know to
successfully navigate a
discussion about
implementing a successful
incentive plan.
Our Speaker
Andy Spurlock
Andy Spurlock lives in Las
Vegas and has worked in the
Compensation field for 22
years. He started his career
in Iowa at the U.S.
headquarters of AEGON, the
10th largest insurance company
in the world. He later worked
at a major regional bank in
Milwaukee where he was
responsible for approximately
65 diverse incentive
plans.
Andy
moved to Las Vegas in 1996 and
has worked for Clark County as
a Compensation Analyst ever
since. He taught the
"Compensation Management"
course for six years at the
UNLV School of Business and
now teaches all six modules of
the Wage & Salary
Certificate at the UNLV
Division of Educational
Outreach. For the last several
years he has reviewed article
submissions as a subject
matter expert for various
WorldatWork publications,
including "Sales Compensation
Focus". He is an author and is
currently an amateur boxing
judge.

All of the 2012 breakfast
meetings will be held in room
212 G in the Campus Services
Building on the UNLV
campus.
The Campus Services Building
is a yellow two story building
located in the parking lot
near the Thomas and Mack
arena, close to the
intersection of Tropicana and
Swenson.
